I am 22 years old and in my senior year. I have been troubled by tiger teeth for many years, although some people say it is good, including my parents, but I have been not confident because of irregular teeth, and I always deliberately do not show my teeth when taking photos. And from the side, the mouth is a little protruding.

(The bottom row of teeth is actually pretty neat.) At the beginning of this year, I went to Shanghai Ninth Hospital to see the experts, a variety of films and blood tests, after the follow-up visit, the doctor gave the plan is to remove 4 teeth. (I don’t have wisdom teeth.) Then the doctor told me to come back to him after I had my teeth extracted.

Hesitate to have been determined to pull teeth, one is afraid of pain, the second is that my mother always love me these healthy teeth because of correction and pull out. So, in this case, the time has quickly arrived in October.

Today, I don’t know where I got the courage to go to the hospital and have my first tooth extracted. The doctor who pulled my tooth also thought it was a pity that my tooth was pulled, and if it were her daughter, she would never allow it. My mom kept telling me after my tooth was pulled that it really hurt her to watch me do it.

In fact, the extraction process itself is not very painful. Yeah, but it doesn’t feel good when they say it.

Now it is just an hour after the tooth extraction, just spit out the gauze in the mouth, feel the anesthetic strength in a little faded, there is a little pain. The doctor said that you can’t eat or drink water until two hours after the tooth is extracted, and you can’t brush your teeth for 24 hours.

It’s now been 5 hours since I had my tooth extracted, a bowl of Quaker oatmeal for dinner, a kiwi, all with my left tooth, so nothing felt and no food debris fell into the cavity. The numbness of the upper right lip gradually disappeared, and the dull pain at the tooth extraction was constant and tolerable.

A lot happened. It took a long time. My orthodontics can finally continue. Ceramic braces were selected for the upper braces and metal for the lower braces. On the first day with braces, not all of them were put on, and there were still two No. 4 teeth to be extracted. Just put on no feeling, the next day feel the lower teeth are particularly sore, make it hard. And then there was the grinding of the mouth, both of which made the canker sores, even though I used orthodontic wax at the time, and then I bought something that I could put on the sores, and it was fine in two days.

Pull out lower tooth number 4. The root of the tooth was broken during the extraction of the right tooth, and it took more than two hours just to deal with the remaining root. And then I filled my gums with bone meal, and I’m getting my stitches out next week. The whole process is still a little painful. Three shots with the anesthetic alone. As a result, the left tooth did not have time to deal with, and had to wait until after Christmas. Want to cry without tears, the beginning of the anesthetic in vain.

Today to remove stitches, so painful! It hurts dozens of times more than anesthesia. It felt like it was ripped out of my flesh. And the doctor said my wound didn’t heal properly. I came back and looked in the mirror, and there was still a tear about 2mm in the gum. Then brackets were fitted to the left and right 5-6 teeth. Make an appointment after January to pull the left 4.

Trivia: Went for a Modena booster tonight. I hear it’s as bad as the second dose. There was no reaction that night, and I slept soundly. The next morning, I had a headache, a fever, aching arms, and I couldn’t lift them. Just lying in bed all day, weak, burning all day. Luckily, my husband always takes care of me. I’m still awake when I type at night. I hope tomorrow will be better.

I had my lower left fourth tooth pulled today. Extraction and bone meal took two and a half hours. This bone meal doesn’t have a longitudinal cut like last time, just a lateral cut. Pain, pain…… I couldn’t brush my teeth for two weeks. I was prescribed anti-inflammatories and painkillers.

Since the last extraction of the right tooth No. 4, and then put on the braces, I obviously feel that the next tooth No. 5 is not stable before, the upper and lower teeth (No. 5) will bite together, when the bite can obviously see the tooth shaking up and down. Normal teeth should be pitted against each other. So, today, the doctor rubbed out a little bit of both of my teeth so they wouldn’t touch each other.

Also, for me, with braces, cleaning my teeth is harder than it used to be. Even though I floss with water and use an electric toothbrush immediately after eating every day, by the time I notice, the stones in my lower front teeth have grown quite a bit.

New Year’s Day. I had my stitches removed today. Two weeks have passed since the last time, the wound has healed, in fact, the removal of stitches did not hurt at all! After removing the wire, I began to add force to my No. 3 teeth, which is actually an extra piece of steel wire, and I need to pull them. I don’t feel anything yet. I think I’ll be sore tomorrow.

The next goal is to align the center line of my upper teeth, which is the left three teeth to the left. The lower incisor has been separated due to two extracted teeth.

Went for a boost today. I don’t feel anything with the chain on. Three weeks have passed and not much has changed. The teeth seem more yellow.

Today, a metal bracket was glued to the inside of the upper two tiger teeth, and an additional line was hung.

Probably related to the order of tooth extraction, the lower tooth movement is faster. The upper teeth don’t show large gaps.

Got a follow-up appointment. It’s not that big of a change. The teeth turned out a little bit. The doctor decided to speed up the frequency of visits. The next time is in two weeks.

The fastest moving tooth is the lower left third tooth, and the rest can be said to be very slow. I don’t know when I can pull out my teeth. This time, due to my left upper tiger tooth was a little ectrosion, this time only the inner line was added, and the outer side was not fixed with steel wire. To be honest, I didn’t feel much force on my teeth this time, even less than before. I talked to the doctor, and she just told me to check back in a few weeks. The next visit and wait until a month later, the front teeth have not been tied, the tiger teeth have not pulled down, I do not know this progress is fast or slow?

Also, I found that the center line of the lower teeth was shifted to the right, and my upper teeth were shifted to the right, which is good, all shifted to the right.

Today’s visit, the lower row of teeth replaced a thicker steel wire. The top row of tiger teeth is recharged. After just four or five hours, my upper row of teeth 3 and 5 were very sore. I don’t feel anything in my lower teeth.

Today, the doctor adjusted the steel wire, gave a bag of rubber bands, and hung them between the right tiger tooth and the fifth tooth, and then changed one every day. And in the future, be careful not to push your tongue against your teeth.

After a month of hard work, the right tiger tooth has a significant displacement. The upper teeth were finally tied with a complete wire, which was a little difficult to adapt to at first. The teeth look more protruding from the side.

Today, I talked to the doctor and finally removed the transverse palatine bar. For 596 days! Because the tongue has been pressed out of an omega mark for a long time, and recently I found that the tongue coating due to the long-term friction of the metal, actually grew a small piece of thick bumps, I really can not stand to let the doctor remove. The doctor said I had to wear it because I don’t have a chin. 🙂

The process of taking it off did not hurt, but watching the doctor with the drill kept cutting metal in my mouth felt a little tense. Although it was expected that the inside of the plastic plate on the roof of the mouth would be dirty, it was still scared after seeing it with my own eyes. Yellowish-white plaque covered almost a third of the board.

After taking it off, you immediately feel the tongue is free, and the tissue on the roof of the mouth has a kind of soft feeling, like the touch of the hole growing after the extraction of a tooth. The doctor said not to brush this with a toothbrush. I went back and I flossed it in the lowest gear, and it bled.

I haven’t finished the dental gap yet. The right incisor is a little slanted, the root is too straight, and the last tooth in the lower row without a bracket is very crooked, out of line with the rest of the teeth.

The doctor says this is the final fine-tuning phase. Glued brackets on my last two teeth in the bottom row. I don’t know how many more months. I’ve been wearing braces for two years now.

One of my front teeth is a little crooked. And the gum receding, it’s pretty obvious, I don’t know if it’ll get better after the suture.
